Epson Robots, which claims to be the world's top SCARA robot maker, yesterday announced that it has signed Advanced Industrial Products Inc. as an official distributor of its systems. Epson said the partnership will make automation attainable, simple, and affordable to Advanced Industrial Products customers in Kentucky and West Virginia.
Manufacturers of all sizes are looking to automate small, intricate processes, as well as pick-and-place and assembly operations. Epson said its easy-to-use products combined with Advanced Industrial Products's (AIP) sales staff and engineers will help build new relationships in the automotive, food, beverage, and medical markets.

AIP to offer entire Epson Robots line
Advanced Industrial Products offers said it can help customers reduce their supplier base with product support for world-class manufacturers of industrial automation; robotics; and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) components.
The Lexington, Ky.-based company said it helps customers design, engineer, install, and initiate new projects and make improvements to existing systems. AIP also provides classes taught by its own factory-trained engineers.
AIP said it is offering the full lineup of award-winning Epson Robots automation products, including SCARA, six-axis robots, and integrated options. The partners said Epson's affordable robots combined with AIP's support will allow companies to meet a broad spectrum of automation needs.
