HAI ROBOTICS this week announced a new partnership with Zion Solutions Group, an Atlanta-based supply chain integrator. As part of the agreement, Zion will now have access to HAI's full range of products as it works to build out its goods-to-person services in North America.
“We look forward to working with the HAI team to deliver extraordinary solutions to solve the challenges our customers face,” said Drew Eubank, co-founder and executive vice president of Zion Solutions Group. “We believe that the partnership with HAI helps Zion deliver on our vision: to create memorable experiences and guide intelligent change.”
Case-handling robots pick up more funding
Founded in 2016, HAI ROBOTICS said it specializes in autonomous case-handling robots, claiming that its systems use advanced software and dense storage to drive efficiency and throughput. The Shenzhen, China-based company has offices in the U.S., Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Taiwan, serving customers from more than 30 countries and regions.
The company today announced that it has raised $100 million in Series D+ financing led by Capital Today. Other investors included a top U.S. dollar fund and existing shareholders including 5Y Capital, Source Code Capital, Sequoia Capital and 01VC. HAI ROBOTICS said it was the third funding in 12 months.
“This round of financing will be spent on stepping up the R&D of warehousing logistics robotic systems and on global business expansion, to provide more efficient, intelligent, and flexible products to power every warehouse with robots to address labor shortage and cope with the challenges brought by the aging population,” said Richie Chen, the company’s founder and CEO.
Zion joins forces to meet market demand
Zion specializes in material handling integration and supply chain consulting operations. Jim Shaw, the company’s co-founder and president, previously worked at AHS, a division of the automation service integrator company Hy-Tek Material Handling.
“HAI ROBOTICS is extremely excited to be partnering with the team at Zion Solutions Group,” said Brian Reinhart, vice president of sales at HAI ROBOTICS. “When considering potential partners, HAI places the utmost importance on culture alignment and in Zion, we’ve found a partner whose goals, ambitions, and prioritizations match ours.”
“Zion’s ability to concept, engineer, and deliver world-class automation solutions to the market is well documented, and HAI is very excited to be a part of that process now and into the future,” he said.
HAI ROBOTICS said the need for robot systems that have dense storage, high unit throughput, and robust yet flexible software is increasing as order demands rise.
