Kivnon, a Spanish provider of mobile robots, said its new K55 Pallet Stacker is reliable, safe, and easy to integrate.

Kivnon Logística S.L.U. today said it will exhibit its K55 autonomous forklift at the Logistics & Automation fair next month in Madrid. The company said the K55 robotic pallet stacker is equipped with advanced safety features for collaborative movement in facilities.

Kivnon offers a range of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), plus accessories for transporting goods. The company's systems use magnetic navigation or mapping technologies to adapt to any environment and industry.

Barcelona, Spain-based Kivnon claimed that its products are robust, precise, and simple to install. It added that its systems can be integrated with mobile robots to automate different applications within the automotive, food and beverage, logistics and warehousing, manufacturing, and aeronautics industries.

K55 designed for safety, reliability

“AGVs and AMRs are revolutionizing internal logistics,” stated Thierry Delmas, managing director of Kivnon. “The rising forklift safety challenge is of deep concern, and with the K55, we have taken a step forward to address the global issue. The Kivnon range is designed to ensure safe and reliable operations and to optimize operational efficiency.”

The Kivnon K55 is designed to move and stack palletized loads at low heights. It can perform cyclical or conditioned routes while interacting with other robots, machinery, and people, said the company.

The new models incorporate safety scanners for 360-degree perception, enabling them to operate seamlessly in shared spaces, according to Kivnon. The fork sensors also assess whether a pallet has been loaded or unloaded correctly, it said, keeping the transported goods safe.

In addition, Kivnon said the K55 has an online battery-charging system that can function 24/7 with opportunity charges. This provides the robustness to ensure continuity of production and to adapt to specific application needs, it said.

Kivnon to demo pallet stacker at Spanish event

The Logistics & Automation event runs from Oct. 26 to 27, 2022, at IFEMA. During the show, Kivnon plans to demonstrate the K55 Pallet Stacker's capabilities.

The vehicle can autonomously transport palletized loads of up 1,000 kg (220.4 lb.) and lift them to heights of up to 1 m (3.2 ft.). The K55 is appropriate for any open-bottom or euro-pallet storage application, receipt and dispatch of goods, and internal material transport, said Kivnon. Companies can use it to optimize safety, storage space, and process efficiency, it added.

“The Logistics & Automation show is an important networking event where customers can learn about the latest technologies and innovations,” said Delmas. “We pride ourselves on innovation and are excited to have this opportunity to showcase the capabilities of our products.”

“In addition to the K55, our robust portfolio also includes twister units, car and heavy-load tractors, low-height vehicles, and cart pullers, meeting multiple application needs,” he said.

Kivnon will display its AGVs and AMRs and provide robotics experts to answer questions and arrange consultations at Booth 3F43.

Kivnon said its autonomous forklift, makes it easy to automate multiple jobs in daily operations such as moving pallets to stage, lineside, or from stock to dock and back again.
