KPI Integrated Solutions yesterday announced the opening of a full-scale demonstration site for GeekPlus Technology Co.’s multi-level, high-density, Four-way Shuttle Solution at KPI’s headquarters in Belton, Mo.

KPI Integrated Solutions, a portfolio company of a fund managed by the Private Equity Group of Ares Management, was formed in 2021 with the combination of Kuecker Logistics Group, Pulse Integration, and QC Software. It offers supply chain automation, consulting, network analysis, simulation and modeling, warehouse execution software (WES), and systems integration services.
The company claimed that its “data-driven, technology-agnostic approach” to automation can increase storage capacity, boost throughput, and build flexibility. KPI also said it can “elevate distribution performance, provide competitive advantage, and enable growth.”
KPI designs systems including Geek+ shuttles
KPI Integrated Solutions has designed an operation using Geek+ Four-Way Shuttles to support multiple picking and storage of pallets, containers, and individual units. This goods-to-person application combines Geek+’s X-series mobile robots for pallet storage with its flagship P800 robots for ground-level picking.
First launched in March 2022, the multi-level automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) is applicable to a variety of industries including retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, third-party logistics (3PL), and pharmaceuticals.
To alleviate rising warehouse costs and labor constraints, Geek+ said it has designed its Four-Way Shuttle system to maximize reserve storage space while optimizing order throughput.
The combined interaction of the shuttles and X-series robots provides greater operational flexibility for existing warehouses and can be integrated with existing infrastructure such as conveyor belts, robotic arms, or automatic lifts, said Geek+.

Founded in 2015, Geek+ provides robotics and artificial intelligence for reliable, flexible, and efficient warehouse and supply chain management. It has more than 500 customers of its autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
