Fans attending the 2024 MLB All-Star Game at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Tex. will see a different face on the stadium concourse. ADAM will serve as a new bartender on the concourse, serving up drinks to fans during All-Star Week festivities at the home of MLB’s defending World Series champions, the Texas Rangers.
Who is ADAM?
Nevada-based Richtech Robotics describes ADAM as an “AI-powered bartender, barista and boba maker that wows customers and boosts your bottom line.”

ADAM is a dual-arm, AI-powered robot with a built-in cocktail and mocktail library. Customers can order a drink at the concession stand and ADAM will mix, shake and dispense a concoction. Richtech Robotics also says its AI technology allows ADAM to provide drink recommendations and interact with customers.

Outside of alcoholic concoctions, ADAM can also be used in other settings. The robot can craft coffee creations similar to that of a barista, and blend boba tea.
As of July 2024, Richtech has deployed ADAM in several locations across the United States, including a Las Vegas boba tea shop and Brooklyn coffee shop.
Robots in the food and beverage industry
Robots in the food and beverage industry have grown in use of late.
At Automate 2024 in Chicago, Doosan Robotics its “Mixmaster Moodie” bartending cobot that created drinks for booth visitors based on recommendations from its face-scanning technology powered by AI.
Ottonomy, a Pittsburgh-based autonomous delivery robot provider, handles food and drink deliveries at Pittsburgh International Airport.
And in late 2023, CaliExpress by Flippy opened in Pasadena, Calif. with an AI-powered robotic fry station powering its kitchen operations.
