Brain Corp. and Dane Technologies today said they have expanded their partnership to develop inventory-scanning systems for retailers built on Brain Corp's robotics platform. The companies said they will combine Brain Corp's expertise in artificial intelligence and autonomous systems and Dane's experience in manufacturing and deploying retail technologies.

Founded in 1996, Dane Technologies said it helps retailers address the safety and productivity challenges of manual shopping cart retrieval and management. The Maple Grove, Minn.-based company said that it works with clients and that it has grown from a single product to become one of the most trusted names in “ergologistic solutions,” power-assisted systems serving retail, industrial, distribution, transportation, and healthcare clients around the world.
Brain Corp upgrades platform
Brain Corp claimed that its AI software powers more than 30,000 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) operating in commercial public spaces, representing the largest fleet of its kind in the world. The San Diego-based company said global OEM partners use its BrainOS cloud-connected platform to create scalable, self-driving robots to clean floors and sense environmental data, automating previously manual workflows.
Brain Corp added that Fortune 500 brands across industries benefit from the growing portfolio of BrainOS-powered robots and its privacy, safety, and efficiency tools that make managing and scaling automation easier. It said its next-generation platform has a new, modular architecture.

Dane works to increase retail productivity
