Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas Inc. yesterday said it will be reselling PowerFleet Inc.'s enterprise telematic system to customers across North America. The integrated PowerFleet product will allow customers to monitor lift truck utilization, impacts, and company safety compliance quickly and accurately, while also optimizing their fleet’s performance, said the partners.
Woodcliff Lake, N.J.-based PowerFleet provides subscription-based wireless Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) systems for securing, controlling, tracking, and managing high-value enterprise assets such as industrial trucks, tractor trailers, containers, cargo, and vehicles and truck fleets.
Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas and its group companies offer materials handling equipment, automation, and fleet support. The Houston-based company's portfolio includes Mitsubishi forklift trucks, Cat lift trucks, Rocla autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs), UniCarriers forklifts, and Jungheinrich warehouse and automation products.
“PowerFleet’s innovative technology and Mitsubishi Logisnext America’s advanced material handling equipment are a powerful combination,” stated John Sneddon, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Logisnext. “PowerFleet’s Enterprise Telematics is a first-class technology solution, empowering customers to more effectively manage their fleet across multiple brands, units, and locations. We’re excited to bring this new level of support to our customers.”
PowerFleet said its enterprise telematics system gives customers access to real-time data analytics so they can make make more informed decisions. PowerFleet includes the VAC4 and impact sensors, providing end users with wireless visibility and automated monitoring across their lift truck fleets. The VAC4 combines hardware installed on the lift truck with easy-to-use, cloud-based software, claimed the companies.
Logisnext and PowerFleet said their combined offering will provide "the industry’s most data-rich analytics platform, delivering critical safety controls and insightful data on the material handling fleet’s utilization and productivity." It will include the following capabilities:
PowerFleet will be available as a factory-installed option on all Mitsubishi forklift trucks, Cat lift trucks, and Jungheinrich warehouse products, said Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas.

The partners added that the PowerFleet telematics system is scalable and suitable for any fleet size and mix of Mitsubishi-branded warehouse vehicles.
