Airwayz Partners With Digiland for AI-Driven Drone Fleet Management Services

Airwayz

Airwayz says its flight systems include features such as autonomous flight modes, advanced mission planning, remote control, and hive mode.

As with other types of robots, service providers are starting to offer fleet management for aerial drones. Airwayz Drones Ltd. yesterday announced that it has formed a strategic partnership wth Digiland Pte. Ltd. for "ready-to-deploy fleet management solutions and services -- the first in the world with artificial intelligence -- to governments, authorities, companies, and individuals."

“Airwayz’ proposition is unmatched in the industry so far," stated Henry Teh, president and CEO of Digiland. "Managing multiple fleets of drones with the ability to make decisions either on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) service suppliers (USS) or at the UTM [unmanned traffic management] level makes for much safer autonomous management of airspace."

"We’re looking forward to further investment and enhanced working with Airwayz, for more complementary and sustainable digital solutions that are more customer-centric and easy-to-access, that are safe, friendly, and secure for users,” he added.

Singapore-based Digiland is an investment, operations, consultancy and digital firm that works with governments, foundations, and corporations to develop environmental sustainable projects. It said its goal is to create jobs while providing people with access to clean water, housing, healthcare, and education.

Airwayz adds AI to flight management

Airwayz said it provides multi-platform software for the control, management, and automation of drone fleet management for various types of missions. The Tel Aviv, Israel-based company uses a cloud-based network and decentralized swarm technology to share flight information and enable operational coordination in real time.

Airwayz added that its system offers several AI-based features such as multiple autonomous flight modes, advanced mission planning, remote control, and hive mode to help organizations maximize the operational potential of drones.

The partners noted that drones are a good way to bring access to necessities, especially during emergencies.

“From inspection applications within airports, seaports, and train ports to surveillance for security and mapping for destination development, there are many branches of the Digiland business that could leverage Airwayz UTM and flight systems,” said Eyal Zor, co-founder and CEO of Airwayz. “Digiland is a forward-thinking company. Together, we can reduce manpower requirements, costs, carbon emissions, and business risk while improving operational efficiency and compliance across many parts of the business.”

Airwayz offers software-based AI that allows any drone of any type to be part of an autonomous drone fleet and perform multiple tasks in a variety of fields.
