Elite Robots to Launch New Cobot CS620 at EASTEC Trade Show

Elite Robots plans to unveil CS620, its new 20 kg payload collaborative robot, at the upcoming EASTEC trade show from May 16 to18 in West Springfield, Mass.

With more than 10,000 units deployed across more than 30 countries, the company said that businesses of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies, have placed their trust in its automated systems.

New model joins Elite Robots 'next-gen' cobot line

The CS620 will join the Singapore-based company's CS series, which it called "the next generation of collaborative robots." Released in 2022, Elite Robots offers the cobots in addition to its EC series and said the CS robots are designed for ease of use, safety, and expandability.

The CS series is based on an advanced software infrastructure, with an intuitive and modular graphical user interface that supports the Python scripting language, according to Elite Robots. It also includes self-developed plug-ins and offers a high level of customization for programmers.

With 24 digital I/O (eight configurable) and four configurable tool I/O, as well as extensive connectivity options, the CS series is highly expandable, said the company. Elite Robots added that it complies with the ISO 10218-1 and ISO 13849-1 safety standards.

The CS series currently includes models with payloads of 3, 6, and 12 kg (6.6, 13.2, and 26.4 lb.). The CS620 further expands the range of applications with a 20 kg (44 lb.) payload and 1,800 mm (70.8 in.) reach.

The robot can operate at a speed of up to 3.9 m/s, exceeding that of counterparts by up to 35%, claimed Elite Robots. The CS620 is designed to effectively perform medium-to-high payload tasks such as handling heavy parts or palletizing, it noted.

CS620 uses novel tool connector

Equipped with an eight-pin and four-pin dual tool connector, the CS620 is "the world's first cobot to supply end effectors through a 5A tool I/O," asserted Elite Robots. This ensures that the six-axis cobot always has enough power to perform demanding tasks such as machine maintenance and welding. It can also handle multiple devices simultaneously.

The CS620's high trajectory accuracy and wide reach, which ensures that large components can be smoothly welded without using an external axis, said the company.

Like all other models in the CS series, the CS620 robotic arm features an IP65 degree of protection, upgradeable to IP68. Rated for ISO Class 5 cleanrooms, the CS Series is suitable for industries that require the highest level of hygiene, such as pharmaceutical and electronics.

Elite Robots said it will premiere the CS620 in the U.S. in Building 1, Booth 1648 at the upcoming EASTEC trade show. The company will also exibit in Booth 6735 at Automate 2023 in Detroit.
