Flexiv Inc. earlier this week announced that it is partnering with Sycodal, a Quebec-based automation integrator, to bring adaptive robotic technology to the Canadian market.

Sycodal has over 30 years of experience in the distribution and manufacturing of control systems and specializes in new technology integration and production equipment servicing. With an in-depth knowledge of 80s, 90s and 2000 control systems, a dedicated repair shop, and expertise in new technology integration, Sycodal said it delivers high-quality products and services.

As part of Flexiv’s continued expansion into North America, this latest partnership will enable Canadian companies to take full advantage of an adaptive robot’s efficiency, flexibility, customizability, and ease of use, according to Flexiv.

Created to address the shortcomings of collaborative robots, adaptive robots offer their users artificial intelligence, industry-leading force control, and computer vision integration to achieve unmatched precision, it said.

Flexiv heads north

“We are very excited to partner with an established and experienced system integrator in the Canadian market,” said Daire Kullar, Flexiv’s regional sales and business development manager. “Sycodal has opened a door for Flexiv in this market, and we are committed to supporting their growth. We are confident of the abilities Sycodal has to offer and are very impressed with the team’s capabilities.”

Flexiv granted Sycodal sole integrator rights for the entirety of Quebec as part of the distribution agreement .

“By choosing Sycodal as a distribution partner in Canada and an official integrator in Quebec, Flexiv has not only propelled us to high-potential markets in North America but also offers collaborative solutions at the cutting edge of technology.” Said Claude Beauliue, the President of Sycodal. “Flexiv leads the path to a strong future now, and our entire team is ready and motivated to bring this technology to the Canadian market.”

This latest partnership represents Flexiv’s commitment to bringing its adaptive robotic solutions to North America.

By carefully selecting its distributors and integrators, Flexiv said it can develop its market presence and provide a holistic support package to its customers, ensuring they are aided on every step of their automation journey.

Flexiv, founded in 2016, said it focuses on developing and manufacturing adaptive robots, integrating industrial-grade force control, computer vision and AI technologies. Flexiv has established offices in Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Foshan, Taiwan and Singapore.
