GreyOrange announced it has begun working with supply chain services company Piviotree Inc. and will pair its robotic fulfillment orchestration platform, GreyMatter, with Pivotree’s warehouse management system, or WMS.

GreyMatter is robot agnostic, according to Roswell, Ga.-based GreyOrange, and uses real-time data and machine learning to orchestrate fulfillment operations for the efficient movement of automated systems. Toronto-based Pivotree said its WMS supports multiple brands and warehouses with complex and varied business processes on a single, shared software as a service (SaaS) infrastructure.

With over 250 major retailers and branded manufacturers as customers, Pivotree said its portfolio of digital products helps business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) companies manage digital and strategic operations and complex supply chains. By integrating GreyOrange’s Greymatter system, Pivotree has given its customers access to a platform that allows them to assign work activities to diverse fleets of robots.

Pivotree expands fulfillment reach with GreyOrange partnership

The companies added the partnership will help customers save costs and improve order fulfillment through inventory accuracy and increased operations performance visibility.

"Partnering with innovative companies such as Pivotree is a top priority for GreyOrange as we expand our reach within fulfillment and inventory optimization," said Jason Brewer, director of strategic alliances at GreyOrange in a statement earlier this week. "Pivotree's use of AI in warehouse management software and integrated architecture provides confidence that this partnership will help joint customers produce high-yield fulfillment and future scalability."

"This partnership is an example of how next-level innovation companies connect to provide the best fulfillment services using AI and robotics along with WMS and OMS offerings," said Jim Brochu, general manager of supply chain at Pivotree in a statement. "We look forward to working with GreyOrange to ensure our joint customers are set up for continued growth."

In a recent interview with Robotics 24/7, GreyOrange CEO and co-founder Samay Kohli discussed how GreyMatter has been used to help workflows.
