HOJ Innovations deployed its AMR fleet at Hunter Douglas' fulfillment center in Salt Lake City.
Utah-based warehouse inventory management hardware and software provider HOJ Innovations announced that it has deployed a fleet of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) into Hunter Douglas’ Salt Lake City fulfillment center, replacing a pre-existing overhead conveyor system (OCS) that was causing safety risks and had frequent breakdowns.
HOJ Innovations launched an AMR division in October 2025, complementing its portfolio with AMRs developed in partnership with SEER Robotics.
The company said that the turnkey project included AMRs, a control system, and an operator interface, alongside commissioning and production support.
HOJ Innovations said that Hunter Douglas’ previous OCS was assembled with parts from different systems and internally developed controls. HOJ said that it required ongoing maintenance, lacked proximity to personnel and took up extra space with carts hung from it.
HOJ said that the new AMR system allowed Hunter Douglas to meet safety goals and simplify order fulfillment.
“Our focus is not only to solve the customer’s problem at hand, but to leave a lasting positive impact on operations,” said Tim Hoj, CEO of HOJ Innovations. “With this project, implementing the AMRs not only modernized the space, but optimized order fulfillment by requiring less human intervention, allowing team members to focus on other tasks, and, most importantly, a way to make sure operations are running smoothly and safely. We’re proud to have provided a turnkey solution with minimal impact to production so that it was a seamless experience for the customer.”
HOJ said that it removed the OCS on the first day of the final project phase and completed commissioning and validation testing over three days, with minimal disruption to production. With the new, dependable AMRs in place, HOJ said that Hunter Douglas has decreased workers’ compensation claims and lowered the cost of preventable issues.
HOJ said that Hunter Douglas is now running fulfillment with an efficient workflow and a safe and high-functioning environment for employees.
