Packsize’s X6 right-size, on demand automated packaging system can integrate with ASRS and pallet shuttles, as well as help companies reduce packaging waste.
Right-sized, on-demand packaging automation provider Packsize recently announced the release of its new X6 automated right-sized packaging system.
The X6 will be on display for the first time internationally at LogiMAT in booth 6F 61 and at ProMat 2025 in booth S4153.
LogiMAT will be held March 11-13 at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre in Stuttgart, Germany. ProMat will be held March 17-20 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Ill.
Packsize provides right-sized, on-demand packaging systems that help address the issue of wasteful and inefficient packaging practices by creating custom boxes in real time using less corrugated material and void fill.
The X6 is a high-capacity erected box machine capable of creating up to 1,500 flat-bottom boxes per hour from corrugated Z-fold. The X6 has the flexibility to produce both boxes with flaps and corrugated trays, facilitating integration with leading goods-to-person (GTP) and shuttle systems.
“The X6 demonstrates Packsize’s continued commitment to provide greater labor and picking efficiency for faster and more accurate packaging for warehouse orders, accelerating speed and productivity in the supply chain.” said Brian Reinhart, Packsize chief revenue officer. “Through our collaboration and technology integration with groundbreaking automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), shuttle, and goods-to-person partners, we are once again delivering a best-in-class packaging machine for a more productive customer experience.”
Producing right-sized trays can enable picking directly into shipping boxes, and can reduce the need for totes as they provide enhanced ergonomics, are conveyable, and are usable with various operator workstations.
“In addition to delivering an industry-leading throughput, the X6 produces a broad range of box sizes, including the capacity to produce boxes small enough to fit through envelope slots,” Reinhart said. This capability supports our customers by enabling them to comply with new regulations such as the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and furthers the Packsize mission of reducing environmental impact with tailored, right-sized packaging solutions that make a difference.”
The X6 will be available with both box closing and lidding modules, which Packsize said provides everything needed for a completely automated packaging process.
