Starship Technologies announced its autonomous robots surpassed over 8 million deliveries and 10 million miles.

Starship Technologies announced that its fleet of sidewalk robots has surpassed eight million autonomous deliveries.

The company also said the robots eclipsed 10 million miles of deliveries for its customers.

Starship robots deployed at over 150 locations

With operations across multiple countries and US university campuses, Starship has seen significant growth in the number of deliveries since its founding in 2014.

“While many robotics companies are still launching pilot projects with just a couple of robots or building their first prototypes, we’ve proven ourselves as a real-world solution,” said Ahti Heinla, co-founder and CEO of Starship Technologies. “With millions of deliveries behind us, we’re not just imagining the future—we’re already operating in it.”

Starship’s fleet of over 2,000 fully autonomous mobile robots for last-mile delivery operates at over 150 locations in six countries. The company said its robots cross 125,000 roads and driveways per day, equating to roughly two crossings per second.

The six-wheeled robots are fully electric, and Starship said an average delivery consumes about the same amount of energy as boiling a small kettle of water. From a sustainability standpoint, Starship highlighted that its robots have saved over 500 tons of CO2 entering the atmosphere in Europe.
