RIZE introduces a professional desktop composite 3D printer designed with safety and sustainability as key factors. The RIZE 2XC is the first deliverable of the RIZIUM Alliance, an industry collaboration that includes hardware designers and CAD/CAM software vendors.

The company says the RIZE 2XC uses a dual-extrusion 3D print unit from Sindoh, a multi-function 2D and 3D print engine manufacturer in South Korea. The new print head is designed specifically to run new RIZE engineering-grade composites that are zero emission and moisture-resistant, and require minimal post-processing. The company says the new class of materials used by the RIZE 2XC are “uniquely engineered for safety and user health by avoiding the airborne release of chemicals common in other filament-based 3D printers.”

The RIZE 2XC offers a build volume of 8.9x7.90x11.8-in. (WxDxH). Print resolution is 50 microns and up. The unit can print carbon and glass fiber composites, suitable for industrial strength functional parts. The RIZE 2XC also supports a variety of polylactic acid, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, Flexible, polyvinyl alcohol, and Open Source materials.

The dual-extrusion method allows the RIZE 2XC to run a composite or polymer in one nozzle and RIZIUM Support in the other. The new support material was designed specifically for filament-based extrusion to ensure easy post-processing without added chemicals.

The company says the RIZE 2XC is an ideal 3D printer for today’s uncertain times. It can be safely used in office or home settings, without concern for release of airborne volatile organic compounds common to other 3D printing methods.

The RIZE 2XC ships in early August for an introductory price of $3,995. It will be available from RIZE’s channel partners. For more information click here.
