The RBL LED bar light from Metaphase Lighting Technologies delivers reliable, high-intensity illumination in a rugged IP69K-rated housing for machine vision systems targeting food and pharmaceuticals.
At Automate 2025 in Detroit, Metaphase Lighting Technologies, a Pennsylvania-based provider of advanced LED illumination for machine vision and imaging applications, will highlight its newly redesigned and rebranded RBL bar light.
Metaphase designed the light source to deliver high-intensity output for IP69K-rated environments.
Automate 2025 will take place at Detroit’s Huntington Place from May 12-15. Metaphase Lighting Technologies will showcase its technology in Booth 7023.
An IP69K rating signifies that the RBL light can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns using water jets from any direction. The RBL also ensures the highest protection level against dust and harsh environments to ensure sustained high-performance illumination over the light’s 75,000-hour expected lifetime.
“As machine vision technology expands into food processing, pharmaceuticals, and other industries where hygiene and sanitation are critical, so has demand for lighting components that can stand up to frequent and intense sanitation protocols,” said Kevin High, president of Metaphase Lighting Technologies. “We designed the RBL bar light to meet and exceed these demands and deliver reliable, long-lasting illumination in the most challenging environmental conditions.”
In addition to high brightness and reliability, the RBL light offers a flexible range of options and configurations. All versions feature passive cooling and rugged, industrial-grade housings in lengths from 6 inches to 6 feet. Housings are constructed either from black anodized aluminum or stainless steel - the latter offering greater corrosion resistance to help meet U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for food processing applications.
Within the food industry, where IP69K washdown capability is often critical, the RBL bar light offers high-brightness illumination to help measure and inspect processed foods, inspect packaged or shrink-wrapped products or validate fill levels in bottling operations.
The light also offers versatile illumination solutions for pharmaceutical applications, including the inspection of syringes and vials, checking fill levels and verifying tamper-proof seals. Additional options, such as polarizing lenses, enable the RBL bar light to support inspection of blister packs and other translucent packaging.
