Automate 2025 show planner: Discover robots, components, and software in Detroit

Robotics and automation innovators will soon convene in Detroit, Mich. for Automate 2025.

The trade show is being hosted by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) at the Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, Mich.

Over 800 providers of components, robots, and systems integration will exhibit their products and services to over 40,000 manufacturing, material handling, supply chain, and logistics professionals from around the globe seeking productivity improvements for their operations.

The Automate Show will be held May 12-15 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT Monday through Wednesday, and until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Registration is free. 

The Automate Conference will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT Monday through Wednesday, and until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. One-day registration is $325, and an all-access conference pass is $1,095. The trade show, keynotes, and show floor programming are free with a show badge.

Components, software, and robots on the show floor

Across the show floor, components, software robot and automation system providers will demonstrate their products at their booths, including:

• Robot arms, cobots, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous lift trucks, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), wearable technologies, additive manufacturing and 3D printing, mobile manipulation robots (MMRs), and, of course, humanoids. 
• Components including motors, drives, servos, actuators, and power transmission, sensors, cameras, wheels and casters, lighting, lasers, metrology tools, cable carriers and connectors, controllers, processors, grippers and other end-of-arm tooling (EOAT).
• Software including AI, machine learning (ML), cybersecurity, simulation, safety systems, orchestration and fleet management, navigation, and motion control.
• Systems for automated assembly and manufacturing, intralogistics, material handling, machine tending, data collection, inspection, scanning, palletizing and depalletizing, bin picking, pick and place, and order fulfillment.

Educational seminars and training sessions

Over 140 educational presentations led by over 200 industry professionals will be hosted during Automate 2025.

The Automate Show Theater will feature numerous sessions each day, with topics including AI-powered industrial automation, intelligent autonomy for AMRs, how SMBs can get started with automation, policies and technologies that will shape the future of work, statistics in the automation market, along with trends and technologies driving the robotics industry, and, of course, humanoids again.

On the Innovation Stage, companies will showcase their latest products, demonstrate systems, and walk through real-world use cases. Topics include computer vision, inspection, digital twins, CNC machining, cloud-based AI training, data storage, network infrastructure, automotive manufacturing, considerations for systems integration, and - you guessed it - humanoid robots!

Four keynote presentations will be delivered at 9:00 a.m. each day before the show floor opens. Speakers include:

Empowerment Forum Breakfast: Women Leading Change

• Wednesday, May 14 at 7:30 a.m. in Room 250AB
• Following a successful 2024 event, A3 said it is proud to once again host the Empowerment Forum: Women Leading Change. The event will include a networking breakfast and keynote panel. A3 said the dynamic morning is designed to bring women in the automation industry together, build valuable connections and leadership skills, and drive progress in the industry.

Latin America Business Networking Reception

• Wednesday, May 14 from 5:15 to 8:30 p.m. in the Grand Riverview Ballroom
• Enjoy a gala cocktail reception with some of the most influential figures in automation followed by an elegant dinner experience and the awards ceremony honoring outstanding contributions to the field of automation and robotics by Stuart “Stu” C. Shepherd and Peter Corke.

The Global Trade and Latin America Business Networking receptions are hosted by A3 as part of the association’s International Exports Initiative, which is supported by a grant from the U.S. Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration (ITA).
