Conductix-Wampfler offers both contact and wireless charging systems for mobile robots.
Conductix-Wampfler today announced the rollout of its Nano+ charging contact system for mobile robots. "The new compact product is crafted with proven components that maximize available workspace and helps automated robot owners and operators increase efficiency, boost throughput and optimize revenue," claimed the company.
Conductix-Wampfler is a leading global manufacturer of mobile electrification and data-transfer systems for industrial machinery. It designs, manufactures, installs, and services a wide range of conductor bar systems, transit conductor rails, slip ring assemblies, inductive power transfer (IPT) systems, cable festoons, spring-driven cable reels, and motor-driven cable reels.
The company also offers an array of crane controls, including push-button pendants, radio remote controls, and bumpers. Conductix-Wampfler said its field-proven products safely and reliably operate in the most demanding industrial applications.
Conductix-Wampfler said its new charging product works across industries, systems, and use cases.
“Across manufacturing, warehouse and distribution, robotic, shuttle, and amusement park applications, automation is the new industry standard,” stated Panos Gamvroudis, product manager at Conductix-Wampfler. “A core component of this automation is having the right charging infrastructure in place."
"At Conductix, we’re uniquely positioned to solve these charging challenges because we offer all the energy and data-transfer technology components under one roof," he said. "We have the technical knowledge, consultative approach and product range to keep businesses moving.”
The company said Nano+ includes technical advances in charging with features including:
“The new Nano+ product is our latest advancement in the space but builds on a long history of charging expertise and innovation,” added Gamvroudis.
“We were able to build on our already-established, comprehensive, and competitive product line and expand it to cater to the AGC [automated guided carts], AMR [autonomous mobile robot], and AGV [automated guided vehicle] markets," he said. "We’re eager to see how Nano+ transforms daily operations in these verticals.”
The Conductix-Wampfler team will exhibit the new system at ProMat in Chicago from March 20 to 23. The company invited attendees to learn about optimized robotics charging and the role charging infrastructure plays in operational efficiency by visiting Booth S434 in McCormick Place.
