Fizyr Opens U.S. Headquarters to Meet Growing Robotics Demand for Computer Vision

Fizyr said its U.S. office will also help it serve systems integrators.

Fizyr said its machine vision can enable robotic applications such as grocery picking.
Fizyr, which provides computer vision for robotics applications including bin picking and palletizing, is also starting a U.S. roadshow at PACK EXPO.

Fizyr BV, which provides computer vision software for robots, today announced its new U.S. headquarters in Dover, Del. The Delft, Netherlands-based company said its U.S. division now supports technical and business relationships with North American systems integrators and robotics integrators.

Jeff Lomax, vice president of business development, will manage integrator partnerships, and Bob Brown, vice president of project management, will oversee partner projects for the company.

“To clear the last hurdle of automation and insulate businesses from tight labor markets, shrinking margins and more, integrators need reliable computer vision to automate tasks in highly variable environments,” said Ken Fleming, CEO of Fizyr, in a statement.

“Fizyr's strategy of enabling integrators with our vision technology creates best-of-breed solutions for their customers in logistics/3PL, retail, e-commerce, and manufacturing,” he said. “Demand is exploding for automated depalletizing, trailer unloading, item picking, bin-to-bin pick and place, and detection, and we are expanding our North American operations to bring new levels of reliability to these complex tasks.”

The market for robotic picking will be worth $6.8 billion by 2030, up from $236 million in 2022, according to Interact Analysis.

Fizyr claimed that its vision software offers “the smartest, fastest and most effective brain available to maximize robotic capabilities.”

“Compatible with all major robotics systems on the market, Fizyr's vision-based AI enables robots to see, perceive, account for variances, learn, and perform more successfully than any other robotic software,” the company asserted.

At LogiMAT in April, Fizyr showed how its systems enable robotic picking, sortation, and parcel induction. At Automatica in June, the company demonstrated with Zivid and The Gripper Company a picking cell that could handle transparent poly bags.

Roadshow to begin with Pack Expo

Fizyr also plans to begin a multi-city roadshow across the U.S., beginning at PACK EXPO in Las Vegas on Sept. 11.

The company said it will introduce its new team, its unique cascade learning approach to machine learning, and its nearly 100% success rates to current North American partners and other integrators and prospects.

Tibor van Melsem Kocsis, chief commerce officer at Fizyr, will join Fleming and Lomax on the roadshow as the company continues to expand and enhance its global partner program.

Fizyr said that it partners with top integrators to develop solutions for currently unsolved problems as demand grows for robotic picking. Like its European counterpart, the company said its new U.S. team “offers more than the world's most effective brain available to maximize robotic capabilities.”

Value-added services from Fizyr U.S. include pre-sales consulting and engineering, implementation, technical support, training, and account management. The company said they will ensure that integrators develop and provide customers with the most effective automation possible. Fizyr offered meetings for its U.S. roadshow at its website.
