Traditional industrial robots are often too costly and have a high learning curve for welding operators. Han's Robot this week introduced a new arc-welding system that it claimed can improve the accuracy, efficiency, and stability of welding.
A shortage of skilled labor and conventional robots usually fail to meet the specific needs of many scenarios. Shenzhen, China-based Han's Robot said its collaborative robot addresses these challenges with easy teaching, a high level of safety, and flexible deployment.
Han's Robot develops, promotes, and applies intelligent robots in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, education, and other industries. The company said it has attracted more than $100 million in funding and over 500 talented workers from 25 countries and regions.
The core research and development team at Han's Robot has more than 10 years of industry and technology experience. With its intelligent perception system, zero-code programming, and zero-slip power failure, the company said its arc welding robot provides cost savings and efficiency gains. It will lead “the welding industry into a new era of automation,” claimed Han's Robot.
The global market for robotic welding cells could expand from $1.2 billion in 2022 to $1.9 billion by 2028 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6%, estimated Research and Markets. The research firm credited cobot capabilties and demand in Asia for that growth.
Han's Robot cobots promise precision
Human-robot cooperation is essential to improve efficiency and the working environment, according to Han's Robot. The company said its Elfin collaborative robots are designed to be easy to program and operate, saving time and cost.
In addition, Han's Robot said its cobots are useful for processes such as plane welding, three-dimensional welding, and arc welding. They can handle various parts and workpieces with high precision, reduce the workload of human welders, and integrate production and operations, noted the company.
Han’s Robot said its automated arc welding robots can be applied to small-batch and high-variability production lines. The robots use carbon dioxide and argon gas to ensure higher welding stability and high-quality welds.
The new systems offer repeatability and positioning accuracy as high as ± 0.02 mm, said Han's Robot. The company added that they can guarantee long-term, uninterrupted, high-quality welding.
Han’s Robot said its arc welding robots are especially suitable for the metal processing, automotive, shipbuilding, kitchenware, and bathroom industries.
