Hyster container handlers take on higher volumes at ports

Canada’s largest exporter of containers needed to maximize storage and performance to answer growing volumes. To do so, their equipment had to lift to great heights – and keep at it throughout an intense workload.

Ray-Mont Logistics provides seamless integrated logistics solutions to facilitate the international trade of containerized cargo. Its terminals handle and containerize agricultural products, plastic resins as well as other commodities. The company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has driven exceptional growth. In a little over a decade, Ray-Mont grew from a single terminal in Montreal to the largest exporter of containers in Canada, with operations coast to coast and more than 400 employees.

So they turned to Hyster ReachStackers:

  • Capable of stacking six containers high
  • Running over 5,000 hours per year
  • Moving 1,550 containers day after day

“Our machines run pedal to the metal, 24/7. When I talk to contacts elsewhere in the industry, they can’t believe how hard we run our equipment, but the Hyster is up to the task – it’s a tank.” - Michael Cantera-Larkin, Ray-Mont Logistics.
