Trew's TrewSort Swivel Wheel Sorter will debut at MODEX 2026 in Atlanta.
Automated material handling technology company Trew announced the TrewSort Swivel Wheel Sorter will make its debut at MODEX 2026.
The company said that the TrewSort Swivel Wheel Sorter is an all-electric mid‑rate sortation offering designed to deliver high throughput and accuracy within its class for parcel, e-commerce, retail and manufacturing operations.
Trew said that the Swivel Wheel Sorter helps address common operational challenges of getting the most throughput, accuracy and reliability, without introducing complexity or high-speed sortation.
“Not every operation needs the fastest sorter on the market, but every operation needs one that fits the business,” said Drew Herchenbach, senior product manager at Trew responsible for the TrewSort portfolio. “The Swivel Wheel Sorter is built for the 45 to 200 carton per minute (12,000 units per hour) range where product mix, space constraints, accuracy, and uptime matter.”
The company said that the TrewSort Swivel Wheel Sorter handles a wide range of cartons, totes, polybags and mixed parcel sizes while maintaining small gaps between items for predictable product flow and consistent performance. The design supports single‑ and dual‑sided 30°, 45°, and 90° diverts and operates at speeds up to 400 feet per minute.
Designed for all‑electric operation, Trew said that the TrewSort Swivel Wheel Sorter uses SmartRow technology to independently control and monitor rows of divert wheels, enabling accurate diverting of tightly spaced products.
The company added that its Wheel Grip Technology, which combines a barrel wheel with a durable, long-life coating, increases traction control guiding products, reducing slippage and tracking errors seen in mid-rate applications.
