Stockholm-based BonBot is a newcomer in the robotics space, having been founded in 2021. So far, the company has raised $2.4 million in seed round founding and has a number of robotic ice cream cafes in Stockholm.
In an interview with the publication sifted, the company’s founder Thomas Hartwig said he was trying to build a robotic cafe that still had a human touch. The article notes that each cafe has a staff of human workers. On the robotics side, the company uses robot arms to prepare and serve deserts.
