Soft Robotics makes two lines of gripper products - mGrip and MGripAI. It sells standard end effectors through its mGrip line. As part of its mGripAI platform, the company is selling the compliant gripper along with its vision and artificial intelligence platform.

Founded in 2013, Soft Robotics earlier this year announced it was expanding its customer base. In addition to catering to the food automation market, the Bedford, Mass.-based company is pursuing the e-commerce and logistics spaces.

End of arm tools are helping increase the capability and range of robot arms, helping operators reduce costs and deliver products faster.
