AI² Robotics raises over $140M in Series B round

AI² Robotics

The AlphaBot series from AI² Robotics is the current main product of the Chinese company, whose valuation now exceeds $1.4 billion.

Beijing, China-based AI² Robotics announced the completion of its Series B financing round, exceeding RMB 1 billion (approximately $140 million) and pushing its valuation past RMB 10 billion (approximately $1.4 billion).

The embodied AI company said its latest round comes after an aggressive fundraising streak. Following seven funding rounds within the first half of 2025, the company secured five additional major investments, bringing the total to 12 rounds in just one year.

General-purpose robot company continues growth

Founded by Dr. Guo Yandong, the company said that it claims one of the highest scientist densities among startups, including five researchers listed in Stanford University’s global top 2% scientists ranking.

AI² Robotics said that, like Tesla, it positions itself as a rare developer, manufacturer and service provider of productivity-oriented general-purpose intelligent robots - distinct from performance or entertainment-focused models.

From day one, AI² Robotics said that its team has adhered to an end-to-end large-model technical framework. The company attributes its long-term growth potential to its ability to continuously propose and implement original AI technologies.

AI² Robotics said that the investor lineup in this round spans large internet and AI giants, Chinese state-owned industrial capital, key players within Tesla’s supply chain ecosystem, deep-pocketed private equity funds, leading brokerage-affiliated institutions and regional government-backed funds, with existing shareholders continuing to increase their stakes.

AI² Robotics said it is accumulating high-value data assets to drive continuous iteration of its large models, utilizing a broad base of real-world application scenarios. The company said that the scale and quality of this data accumulation are increasingly seen by investors as key determinants of its sustained competitive advantage.
