Regal Rexnord's booth at Automate 2026 in Chicago will feature a host of motion-related demos, including the Thomson Movotrak Cobot Transfer Unit (CTU).
Regal Rexnord will exhibit its robotics and factory automation technologies at Automate 2026 in Chicago.
Bringing together brands including Thomson, Kollmorgen, Portescap, Warner Electric, ModSort, Huco, Micron, Boston Gear, Berg, Stearns, LEESON and Bauer Gear Motor, Regal Rexnord said that it will showcase technologies that help manufacturers, machine builders and systems integrators address the motion challenges behind modern automation.
From collaborative robot transfer and scalable servo motion to compact braking and sensing technologies, Regal Rexnord said that Automate visitors can see its broad portfolio of motion control, power transmission and automation technologies, demonstrating how its brands support applications across robotic cells, material handling systems, packaging equipment, autonomous platforms and other demanding industrial environments.
A key demonstration at the booth will be the Thomson Movotrak Cobot Transfer Unit (CTU), which Regal Rexnord said is the first collaborative 7th axis, designed to add up to 10 meters of horizontal operating range to cobot applications.
Regal Rexnord will also feature Kollmorgen Essentials Motion Systems, which it said is a complete motion control system designed to help machine builders specify, configure and set up servo motion more easily. Each system includes a servo motor, servo drive and single cable power/data technology, with support for widely used industrial Ethernet control systems.
At Automate, Kollmorgen will highlight the latest expansion of the Essentials portfolio, including the PCMM2G Essentials controller and new high-voltage drive capability up to 4 kW, extending the platform to a wider range of industrial motion applications across packaging, warehouse automation, material handling and forming.
“As automation projects grow more ambitious, customers need partners who understand how each component of a motion system impacts overall performance,” said Kevin Long, executive vice president & president of automation and motion control at Regal Rexnord. “At Automate, we’re demonstrating how the right motion architecture enables manufacturers to optimize space, reduce design tradeoffs, and build more adaptable systems for evolving production needs.”
Another display at Regal Rexnord’s booth is the Warner Electric Integrated Position Brake (IPB), a spring-applied, electrically released brake that combines reliable parking and emergency braking with embedded absolute position sensing. By integrating braking and position feedback into a compact assembly, Regal Rexnord said that the IPB helps reduce the need for separate components, supports shorter drivetrain designs and gives OEMs greater flexibility when developing compact electric powertrains for automation, material handling and mobile equipment applications.
Together, Regal Rexnord said that these featured technologies show how its brands support automation design across different parts of a machine or production line.
By bringing together capabilities in linear motion, servo control, braking, sensing, gearing, conveying and power transmission, Regal Rexnord said that it gives OEMs, system integrators and manufacturers access to a broad motion portfolio backed by application expertise.
