Material handling systems integrators Hy-Tek and AHS plan to offer a full suite of robotics and automation.
As automation adoption continues across supply chains, robotics suppliers and systems integrators are partnering and consolidating. Material handling integrator Hy-Tek Holdings today said it has acquired Advanced Handling Systems LLC, or AHS. The merged company now operates as Hy-Tek Material Handling LLC. Terms were not disclosed.

Erlanger, Ky.-based Advanced Handling Systems offers integration services with a focus on robotics for materials handling. The company has two facilities in the U.S. and employs about 90 people.
AHS has worked with suppliers including Caja Robotics, Exotec Solutions, Mobile Industrial Robots, and Waypoint Robotics (now part of Locus Robotics).
Hy-Tek Holdings is a portfolio company of Dunes Point Capital LP (DPC). DPC is a family office and private investment firm, pursuing controlling investments in companies operating in the general industrial and business services sectors. DPC targets companies with enterprise values of up to $1 billion.
Columbus, Ohio-based Hy-Tek said it serves clients in markets including e-commerce, third-party logistics (3PL), and parcel. The company claimed that it is "the premier single-source provider of material handling solutions for a wide range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, construction, food, electronics, and automotive."
Hy-Tek Material Handling LLC is a combination of Hy-Tek Material Handling, WorldSource, BP Controls, and AHS. Hy-Tek said that it and its industry partners — including manufacturers of industrial equipment, conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), racks, and shelving — have been providing turnkey systems to customers large and small since 1963.
Hy-Tek has worked to deploy supply chain automation with GreyOrange and Kindred Systems and their customers.
From customized handling and storage systems to pre-assembled buildings and off-the-shelf products—Hy-Tek said its team of engineering, sales, operations, and project management professionals can help enhance productivity, streamline processes, and boost profitability.
With over 500 employees, Hy-Tek serves customers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico from offices in Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
