PAC Machinery
At PACK Expo 2025, PAC Machinery will showcase how its R3200XL system integrates with CMES Robotics' AI piece picking system to optimize fulfillment.
CMES Robotics, a Washington-based manufacturer of AI machine vision software and a subsidiary of South Korea-based CMES Inc., and PAC Machinery, a California-based packaging and container manufacturer, announced they will debut a next-generation robotic bagging system at PACK Expo 2025.
The joint offering integrates CMES’ AI-powered piece picking with a dual paper-poly bagging machine. The companies said this will enable fulfillment centers to achieve speed, accuracy and sustainability, while offsetting the higher cost of paper packaging.
PACK Expo 2025 is at the Las Vegas Convention Center, September 29 to October 1.
The collaboration integrates PAC Machinery’s Rollbag R3200 Paper Bagging System with CMES Robotics’ AI-powered piece picking and packing technology. The companies said this creates a direct pick-to-pack offering.
The system supports both paper and poly bagging, giving fulfillment centers the flexibility to meet sustainability goals without sacrificing speed or efficiency.
“By pairing our AI-powered piece picking with PAC’s proven bagging systems, we are delivering a complete packaging solution that helps fulfillment centers embrace sustainable packaging and improve efficiency,” said Alex Choe, president of CMES Robotics. The automation not only drives accuracy and speed, but it also offsets the higher cost of paper by automating the entire process.”
While paper packaging is typically more expensive than poly, the companies said that their combined system offsets that cost through reduced manual labor, higher throughput and improved accuracy.
At PACK Expo, live demonstrations will show how CMES Robotics’ AI Vision identifies and grips items of any shape or size, placing them directly into PAC’s high-performance baggers.
