CMES Robotics, FANUC and PAC Machinery are showcasing a pick-to-pack automation system at Automate 2026 in Chicago.
CMES Robotics USA, FANUC and PAC Machinery will showcase a fully integrated robotic bagging system at Automate 2026 in Chicago.
The joint offering pairs CMES Robotics USA’s AI-powered piece picking technology with PAC Machinery’s Rollbag R3200XL bagging system, powered by a FANUC collaborative robot.
The companies said that live demos will be at FANUC’s booth during the event.
Together, the companies said that the system delivers a complete pick-to-pack automation platform designed to help manufacturers and fulfillment operations increase throughput, reduce manual labor and improve packaging consistency.
“FANUC works closely with integrators and solution providers to help manufacturers address real-world automation challenges,” said Jerry Perez, business development manager, FANUC America. “While automation has traditionally relied on highly customized systems, we’re seeing growing demand for more standardized, ready-to-deploy solutions that allow customers to drive faster results and improve their business performance.”
CMES Robotics USA said that the Automate demonstrations will show how its AI Vision identifies and grips items of varying shapes and sizes, the FANUC cobot places them directly into the PAC Machinery bagger, and the product is packaged immediately. CMES said that the result is a seamless, high-speed automation system built on three industry-leading platforms.
“Pairing CMES AI Vision with FANUC’s collaborative robotics and PAC Machinery’s bagging technology gives customers a complete, production-ready system from companies they already trust,” said Alex Choe, president, CMES Robotics USA. “At Automate, people will be able to see the whole solution running live.”
The companies said that the combined system addresses persistent challenges across manufacturing and fulfillment: labor availability, throughput demands and the need for flexible automation that handles real-world product variability.
CMES Robotics USA said that its AI Vision software enables the FANUC cobot to recognize and grip virtually any item regardless of shape, size or storage method, feeding directly into PAC’s high-performance bagger without custom tooling or manual reprogramming for each SKU. With sustainable packaging becoming more important, PAC Machinery said that its flexible packaging technology changes between paper or poly bagging easily with toolless changeover, aligning automation investments with evolving sustainability goals.
