BOSTON — Last week, robotics ecosystem investor Cybernetix Ventures hosted its third annual Robotics Invest summit at Artists for Humanity in South Boston. The invite-only forum brought together over 300 robotics founders, investors, and partners to share experiences and observations from across the robotics ecosystem.
The conference featured panel discussions and presentations, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities. Conversations throughout the two-day summit focused on success principles robotics founders should consider to attract investors, inflection points when they should seek funding, and defining why and how robotics as an investment class differs from other technologies.
Attendees and panelists discussed interesting questions, including whether humanoid robots need legs or if wheels are more practical, the role AI plays in robotics development, scaling, and deployment, and whether robotics is a software, hardware, systems design, or integration business... or all of the above.
Robotics Invest was the cornerstone of the first Robotics Tech Week - a series of location tours, investor forums, and networking happy hours across the city and surrounding communities.

Fady Saad, Cybernetix Ventures co-founder & general partner, made a few announcements during his opening remarks, including that Cybernetix is launching its second funding round, with a goal to raise $100 million.
The venture has also partnered with the Pittsburgh Robotics Network to build a professional development program based around its Robotics Startup Playbook. Throughout 2025, one chapter of the playbook has been released every month online.
“We tried to condense everything that we know about building and scaling robotics companies,” he said. “We reached out to our advisors, our founders, and speakers from previous Robotics Invests, and we condensed all of this into a simplified, easy-to-follow online book.”
Cybernetix also welcomed two new partners - Kajima Corporation and Analog Devices - into the Cybernetix Collective, an advisory group the venture has been quietly building. The Collective’s aim is to nurture startups and help Cybernetix’s portfolio companies scale and grow quickly.
