Kardex announced upgrades to FulfillX WES and Intuitive Picking Assistant for AutoStore, a partnership with Paccurate, and launched StoreX Calculator for logistics at ProMat 2025.
Commercial intralogistics systems provider Kardex recently announced upgrades to its FulfillX warehouse execution system (WES) and Intuitive Picking Assistant (IPA) at ProMat 2025. The trade show was held March 17-20 in Chicago, Ill.
FulfillX and IPA are designed to empower AutoStore automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS).
“ProMat 2025 has been an incredible opportunity to showcase how Kardex is driving innovation and helping businesses get the most out of AutoStore,” said Mitch Hayes, Kardex Solutions Americas president. “From live demos at our booth to in-depth conversations with customers and partners, the energy around intralogistics advancements was on display all week.
The company also announced a partnership with parcel packing intelligence company Paccurate that integrates intelligent cartonization into Kardex’s FulfillX software ecosystem.
Kardex also launched its StoreX Calculator, a tool for simulating the efficiency benefits and ROI of AutoStore empowered by Kardex, to the logistics industry.
“Our focus remains on simplifying the design and deployment of AutoStore systems - whether it’s optimizing picking and packing workflows in the Kardex FulfillX WES (KFX) or introducing new tools like the StoreX Calculator,” Hayes added.
The systems integrator featured a fully operational AutoStore cube storage retrieval system at its ProMat booth for the first time. It also demonstrated its new Wearable Task Assistant.
Kardex’s upgrades to the FulfillX WES include Power BI integration for custom reporting, on-demand order picking for urgent requests, and enhanced inventory tracking.
FulfillX WES is purpose-built to enable AutoStore systems to ramp up faster. Kardex said its systems have the potential to meet or exceed business cases in as little as six months, providing a real-time overview of the whole operation in a simple window.
Kardex also unveiled its new Optical State Capture feature for the IPA at ProMat, which captures and analyzes data to deliver performance tracking and process optimization.
The IPA uses digital tools and augmented reality to respond to workers’ movements and project relevant picking information directly onto the surface of the access opening. It can deliver accurate, ergonomic picking that can be customized to specific customer requirements.
The new Optical State Capture feature has the ability to determine why an unwanted inventory adjustment occurred. It does this by capturing operator interactions, changes in the cube, and inventory images. AI technology can then review the entire process and interaction so that users can work out how to prevent the same adjustment from happening again.
Further enhancing the FulfillX software ecosystem, Paccurate and Kardex showcased their new strategic partnership. The companies said their knowledge has been brought together to improve warehouse efficiency through the integration of intelligent cartonization into Kardex’s FulfillX software ecosystem.
The system tells pickers what to pick in real-time, with Paccurate’s platform determining optimal box selection and generating packing instructions, while Kardex’s IPA and FulfillX systems provide visualization for workers at the AutoStore port.
The companies said precise picking and packing benefits the collaboration brings to intralogistics operations were evident at both companies’ ProMat booths, including reduced shipping costs, greater fulfillment efficiency and reduced material waste.
Also launched for the first time to the wider supply chain industry at ProMat was the StoreX Calculator, a tool for simulating the benefits from AutoStore empowered by Kardex.
StoreX was launched to the retail industry in Jan. 2025 at the National Retail Federation (NRF) trade show in New York City.
StoreX Calculator provides a customized data-rich analysis of the operational optimization provided by AutoStore empowered by Kardex systems. It generates a comprehensive performance report for an AutoStore system in the user’s facility, based on key data such as order volume, storage capacity needs, and labor requirements.
