Roboteon's Robotics Investment Impact Analysis tool utilizes simulation to help organizations answer integral questions regarding warehouse automation.

Intelligent warehouse software platform provider Roboteon announced today the release of its complimentary Robotics Investment Impact Analysis.

The company said that its new service utilizes simulation to assess the likely benefit for a company considering the adoption of warehouse robotics.

Gaining insight before deployment

A recent report from warehouse automation research firm Interact Analysis forecasts annual shipment growth for AMRs of 20.1% in 2026, to 259,000 units worldwide.

But, Roboteon said that companies have many questions, such as:

  • How can robotics and automation improve your warehouse operations?
  • What will be the expected impact on costs, throughput and service?
  • What will be the likely automation ROI?

“The Roboteon analysis is a great option for companies looking to better understand their robotics options and likely impact on cost, throughput and more,” said Dwight Klappich, former Gartner analyst, AMR expert and a member of the Robotics 24/7 Executive Advisory Board.

With this analysis, Roboteon said that companies will gain insight into optimal robot-human resources requirements, operational metrics (e.g., cost per pick) for different design alternatives, ROI estimates and much more.

Potential analysis benefits and timeline

Roboteon outlined the potential benefits of its analysis, including:

  • Gain a detailed, vendor-independent understanding of the benefits of robotics automation in your facility, using your own data
  • Achieve insight into the number of robots and humans needed for various scenarios, including peak
  • See and compare a wide array of estimated metrics, from picking costs to dwell times and more
  • Maximize your ability to get high robot utilization rates
  • Build a solid business case based on granular, data-driven analysis

Roboteon said that the analysis takes 2-3 weeks to complete and requires very little time and effort on behalf of the participating companies.

Roboteon added that its simulation is based on real-world information, such as warehouse layout, order profiles, operational assumptions and more.
