Robotize ApS last week announced that it has opened an office in the Detroit area to better serve North American customers of its GoPal autonomous mobile robots, or AMRs. The Lyngby, Denmark-based company said its AMRs are certified for simple and efficient pallet transport within factories and warehouses.
“North America is obviously an extremely interesting market for us, and we already have several customers and partners in both Canada and the U.S.,” stated Anders Pjetursson, co-founder and CEO of Robotize. “However, the interest in our unique GoPal AMR solution is so high that it is a natural next step for us to establish our own presence in North America.”
Pjetursson, Bjørn Bahnsen, and Torben Melchior Hansen founded Robotize in 2016. They claimed that they have developed the safest collaborative mobile robots for pallet transport on the market.
GoPal AMRs designed for ease of use
“Our mission is to constantly improve our fully approved autonomous mobile robots to give our customers all the benefits of automation—with none of the hassle,” asserted Robotize.
The Copenhagen-area company launched its first AMR, the GoPal 400, in December 2017. Since then, it has added the GoPal E22, the GoPal E24, the GoPal E24W, and the GoPal U24W to its product line.
At this year's LogiMat, Robotize introduced the GoPal E22, which can support payloads up to 500 kg (1,102.3 lb.) as its smallest AMR, as well as its new Mobile Lift Station.
Robotize said that its AMRs can be deployed very quickly and that they require minimal changes to existing infrastructure. “Our GoPal solution can simply begin moving pallets as soon as it hits the production floor,” it asserted.
Industry veteran to head new office
Dan Hasley, a robotics and automation veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the industry, will lead Robotize's metropolitan Detroit office as regional sales director for North America.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Robotize at this exciting time and to lead GoPal AMR solution sales and channel partner development in North America,” he said.
