SprutCAM Tech released version update 17.0.11 update for its SprutCAM X that enhances support, expands compatibility with MOKA industrial robots and adds other features.

SprutCAM Tech, a Cyprus-based CAD/CAM/OLP software company, recently announced the release of its 17.0.11 update for SprutCAM X and SprutCAM X Robot.

The update adds features, compatibility and fixes bugs to its line of products.

Enhanced .dxf format support, improved smart hints

SprutCAM X enables users to import sketches in .dxf format and convert them into sketches within the built-in 3D CAD module. This enhancement allows users to create 3D models of parts for machining projects based on imported sketches.

The update also includes updates to smart hints related to the Roughing Waterline, Finishing Waterline, 2D Contouring and Pocketing operations for a better user-friendly experience.

MOKA compatibility

SprutCAM Tech added MOKA industrial robots to its MachineMaker application that creates digital twins of equipment in the SprutCAM X Robot as part of the update.

Moka has more than 10 series of industrial robot products, including hollow welding robots, handling robots, loading and unloading robots, special robots for die-casting and grinding, stamping robots and others.

The SprutCAM X Robot Components Library now includes the following MOKA robot models: MR07S-930, MR08-1840, MR10L-2050, MR10Z-1440, MR12-2010, MR12Z-1550, MR20-1800, MR20E-1840, MR25ED, and MR30-1700.

Other enhancements and improvements

SprutCAM updated the list of operations for the 2.5D Milling configuration and added Chamfering and 2.5D Contouring operations to the Cutting configuration for robotic machining.

Another change in the software update include a change in font size in the CLData Viewer (post processor debugging application) interface for improved readability. This update comes on the heels of a partnership between SprutCAM and Jaka Robotics in December 2023.
