Wing announced a $125M investment to further scale its drone delivery manufacturing capabilities in the U.S.

Residential drone delivery company Wing announced at UP.Summit 2026 in Florida that it is investing up to $125 million over the next two years.

The company said that it is investing in its R&D and engineering capabilities in California, the communities in which it operates, and Wing’s newest 15,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

Drone delivery industry inflection point

Wing said that it is focused on meeting the growing demand for near-instantaneous delivery with proven technology and clear safety standards. The company said that since it earned the nation’s first Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate for drone operations in 2019, it has scaled from research to America’s leading drone delivery service.

Today, Wing said that it operates the largest drone delivery footprint in the U.S., serving major metros from over 70 sites. With Wing’s plans to reach over 40 million Americans by 2027 across nearly 20 U.S. markets and the upcoming release of the Beyond Visual Line of Sight rule, the company said that this industry is poised for a massive expansion that will secure American leadership in the skies for decades to come.

“Drone delivery has become a global reality, driven by clear demand from our partners and their customers,” said Adam Woodworth, CEO of Wing. “The U.S. is our focus for growth, and by investing in the future of drone delivery here, we are continuing to advance American aviation innovation as we build our commercial momentum.”

Wing said that it will continue to invest in American innovation, and its Texas facility will have the capacity to build tens of thousands of aircraft each year, supporting drone delivery service expansion across the nation.

The company partnered with home improvement retailer Lowe’s in September 2026 to launch a drone delivery pilot, alongside its partnership with Walmart across multiple U.S. metro locations.
