Augsburg, Germany-based KUKA AG is an industrial automation “pioneer,” releasing the first industrial robot with six electric motor-driven axes in 1973, according to its website. Today, the 124-year old company has over 14,000 employees an annual sales of around $3.6 billion.
In October, the company released the second generation of its KR QUANTEC PA five-axis robot. It is up to 10% faster than its predecessor, the company said.
