BlueSword's AMR & AGV portfolio continues expanding as the company deploys its robots across industries.

For over 30 years, BlueSword Intelligent Technology (BlueSword) has provided automated warehouse logistics offerings around the globe. The Jinan, China-based organization provides its robots and software technologies across industries, including e-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), automotive, cold chain and more. 

As the company enters its third decade, its portfolio of AGVs and AMRs handles goods of various shapes and sizes in warehouses, moving materials to optimize warehouse logistics. 

BlueSword’s AMR & AGV lineup grows

As BlueSword has evolved from one of China’s earliest logistics automation organizations to a global intelligent intralogistics automation company, its robots have followed suit. 

“We offer a comprehensive suite of AGV & AMR systems covering the entire process - from goods receipt, storage, picking to distribution - deeply integrated with intelligent warehousing, conveyor systems and orchestration platforms,” said Dr. Ken Liu, senior vice president, BlueSword Intelligent Technology.  “Our evolution closely mirrors the broader trends in warehouse automation. We began with traditional AGVs focused on pallet transportation. As customer demands grew more complex, we expanded into a complete AMR ecosystem, including forklift mobile robots, latent mobile robots, shuttle systems and a unified control platform. This evolution is not merely an expansion of product categories but a fundamental redesign of system intelligence.” 

This redesign that has occurred over the last handful of years has coincided with a major shift in the Chinese AMR market

“In China, demand has shifted beyond basic automation to intelligent, end-to-end orchestration,” Dr. Liu said. “Early adopters focused on labor substitution and basic throughput improvements. Today, leading enterprises across multiple sectors want systems that improve traceability, compliance and responsiveness across supply chains…China's fast-paced, high-mix demand environment - spanning new energy, automotive, pharma and beyond - has pushed us to elevate not just product breadth but integration depth. These sectors don't just buy robots; they invest in resilient, software-driven material handling infrastructure.” 

Deployments showcase BlueSword’s AMR versatility

BlueSword’s robots are deployed around the world and across industries. As Dr. Liu noted, energy, pharmaceuticals and automotive are driving the company to optimize and innovate its robots. It’s also harnessing critical integration capabilities to optimize supply chain processes, regardless of the industry deployment. 

One such deployment was for ELETILE, a vinyl flooring manufacturer. 

“At ELETILE's Mexico facility, we deployed 12 forklift mobile robots - 9 stackers and 3 counterbalance units - covering the entire production workflow from raw material delivery to finished goods transportation,” Dr. Liu said. “The unified intelligent scheduling system coordinates these robots to achieve 30% higher throughput with 24/7 autonomous operation, demonstrating how our integration architecture scales across borders.”

Another, at BY-HEALTH, a Chinese dietary supplement company, required the integration of several of BlueSword’s technologies: AMRs and ASRS

“We built a smart warehouse system featuring over 12,800 pallet positions supporting large-scale storage of diverse product types,” he said. “The integration here is multi-layered: AMRs and wireless ASRSes work in tandem, significantly reducing the warehouse front operational footprint. 5G connectivity, digital twins and visual recognition enable real-time data synchronization and visualization across all material flows. Automated processes, including palletizing, correction, loading, unloading, and conveying transport, are tightly coordinated by our orchestration layer, achieving 60% higher efficiency by connecting logistics operations directly with production workflows.”

Digital twins and simulation are critical for AMR development and deployment

BlueSword’s VirtuSync Digital Twins are an integral part of the AMR equation. As digital twins and simulation technologies continue increasing in their virtual capabilities, they’re equally important for the company in its customer deployments. 

“Digital twins are no longer optional in high-performance logistics,” Dr. Liu said. “They transform deployment from a site-by-site adjustment process into a predictive engineering discipline. Through digital twin simulation linked with AI-driven orchestration logic, we can model real warehouse conditions - peak throughput, traffic density, charging cycles and exception handling - before any hardware is installed.”

Across BlueSword’s AMR series and across industries around the world, digital twins and simulation are a major driver of performance. 

“For users, digital twins simulation means confidence in performance, shorter commissioning time and fewer surprises during go-live,” Dr. Liu said. “Instead of discovering bottlenecks after physical deployment, customers can resolve them virtually first. This is especially crucial in markets like North America, where downtime equals lost revenue and compliance expectations are high.”

MODEX 2026 attendance and North American marketplace ambitions

At MODEX 2026 in Atlanta, BlueSword will highlight, among other hardware and software innovations, its T40 Latent Mobile Robot (LMR). The T40 has a rated load of up to 40 kg and a lifting height of up to 440 mm. 

“American warehouses typically operate at large physical scale with heavy pallet flows and strict compliance regimes,” Dr. Liu, said. “Predictability, scalability and traceability are non-negotiable. At BlueSword, we position ourselves as a subsystem-level automation partner, not just a robotics supplier. Our AMRs, including the T40 that we will showcase at MODEX, are designed for high throughput, tight-space maneuvering and mixed-operation environments.” 

The company added that two other LMR models will be in Atlanta:

  • BSMR-L1000
    • Rated load: 1,000 kg
    • Lifting height: 60 mm
  • BSMR-L1500
    • Rated load: 1,500 kg
    • Lifting height: 60 mm

BlueSword’s LMRs and conveyor mobile robots (CMR) come standard with hybrid navigation features. The company said that lidar sensors and an internal vision system enable stable performance in complex and changing environments. 

“MODEX is one of the most important platforms for shaping the future of logistics automation in North America,” Dr. Liu added. “This year, we are particularly excited to bring our T40 LMR and integrated autonomous material handling solutions to demonstrate how system-level orchestration - not single machine performance - drives real operational value.”
