Hirebotics will show its latest versions of Cobot Welder and Cobot Cutter systems, as well as new Beacon software capabilities and robot rentals.

Hirebotics today announced that it will be showing its new products and capabilities for welding and cutting with collaborative robot arms at FABTECH 2023, which will be from Sept. 11 to 14 in Chicago.

“We are excited to unveil our new products and capabilities at FABTECH,” said Rob Goldiez, CEO of Hirebotics. “We are proud to offer the most advanced and user-friendly robotic welding and cutting solutions on the market. These game-changing tools and flexible solutions will enable our customers to more quickly and easily integrate our cobot welders to their manufacturing facilities.”

Nashville, Tenn.-based Hirebotics said in a release that it is a leading provider of collaborative robots for manufacturing. The company offers cobots, software, and services to make automated welding and cutting accessible and affordable to all manufacturers, regardless of their size or experience.

Hirebotics added that it serves a variety of industries, including agriculture, automotive, and general fabrication. It won the Top OEM award for 2023 from cobot leader Universal Robots A/S.

Hirebotics to showcase welding, cutting products

Hirebotics said it will demonstrate its Cobot Welder, Cobot Cutter, Beacon Recommendations, and BeaconCare offerings at FABTECH.

The company has updated Cobot Welder to use the new UR20 cobot from Universal Robots. The UR20 has a reach of 1.75 m (5.7 ft.), enabling it to handle parts that previously required multiple setups, said Hirebotics.

The UR20 is suitable for welding larger parts, it added, but the UR10e version of Cobot Welder remains available for customers with smaller parts or space constraints.

Cobot Cutter uses plasma-cutting technology and cutting software built on the Beacon platform making it easy to set up and use, said Hirebotics. It enables fast and precise cutting for a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, it claimed.

Beacon Recommendations is a new feature that uses artificial intelligence to recommend welding and cutting parameters when setting up a part. It can help manufacturers save time and improve the quality of their welds and cuts, Hirebotics said.

BeaconCare is a new service that provides uptime support for Hirebotics' cobot welding and cutting systems. It includes discounted repairs; loaner equipment if a cobot, welder, or plasma cutter needs to be sent in for repairs; and 24/7 support.

Learn about flexible rentals at FABTECH

Hirebotics will also explain its flexible rental program, which is designed to enable customers to try its cobot welding or cutting systems before committing to a purchase.

“This program is ideal for manufacturers who are not sure if robotics is the right solution for them or who need to flex their production by seasonally adding cobots,” said the company.

The new Cobot Welder, Cobot Cutter, BeaconCare, and rental program will be available immediately after FABTECH. Hirebotics said it is releasing Beacon Recommendations to new and existing customers over the coming months.

Hirebotics will be exhibiting at FABTECH Booth B13020 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
