Exotec, a global provider of goods-to-person warehouse robotic solutions, has selected Hy-Tek Intralogistics, an integrator of full-service automation technology for the supply chain, as the winner of the Exotec Global Integrator of the Year Award for 2023. Exotec presented the award at the company's inaugural ExoDay, held at the North American headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Global Integrator of the Year Award is aimed at spotlighting integrators that embody Exotec's core principles by continuously offering superior customer service and maintaining an unwavering commitment to excellence, the company said. The criteria for the awards took the following categories into consideration:

  • Quality of service provided to joint customers,
  • Volume of joint business and the rate of growth, and
  • Engagement in cross-promotional efforts.

"We are thrilled to have been announced Exotec's Global Integrator of the Year for 2023," said Zac Boehm, Vice President of Robotic Solutions for Hy-Tek Intralogistics. "We have enjoyed a long and successful partnership with them throughout their launch and growth in North America and are excited about the opportunities and projects to come."

"As one of our first integrators in North America, Hy-Tek has been pivotal to our rapid growth in the market," said Stanislas Normand, Managing Director of Exotec North America. "Today, we are thrilled to name them our Global Integrator of the Year for 2023 and we look forward to our continued partnership and shared success."

In other news from Exotec, the company released data which shows that since its first delivered Skypod system site in 2017, its warehouse robots have covered a distance of 17,889,901 miles (28,791,005 kilometers) – equivalent to 37 return trips to the moon. Since its Skypod robotic system works on a good-to-person principle, Exotec estimates Skypod robots have saved warehouse workers from walking nearly 18 million miles versus manual picking processes.

Since delivering its first system to Cdiscount in 2017, Exotec's Skypod systems around the world have reached a cumulative 425,000 hours of usage time with more than 99% uptime. This is equal to nearly 18,000 days or 50 years spread across 15 countries worldwide. Outside of the European market, the vast majority of Exotec sites are located in the United States and Japan. To date, the largest site the company delivered has over 235,000 storage locations.

"Our rapid growth trajectory clearly reflects the broader trend towards enhancing safety and productivity in warehouse environments," said Renaud Heitz, CTO and co-founder of Exotec. "It's rewarding to know we're making a significant difference in the daily working lives of so many people."
