igus will welcome visitors to its booth at IMTS 2026 in Chicago to showcase "Motion in Automation."
Motion plastics and automation technologies provider igus will showcase its latest technologies for moving, automating and optimizing manufacturing processes at IMTS 2026 in Chicago, September 14-19.
Under the theme “Motion in Automation,” the company said that it will demonstrate how motion components and automation technologies can work together to help manufacturers reduce costs, simplify machine design and improve production efficiency.
igus said that booth visitors can explore technologies ranging from lubrication-free motion plastics and energy supply systems to robotics and low-cost automation.
The company said that among the technologies at IMTS will be the E4Q e-chain. igus said that it is designed for demanding applications with tool-free opening and closing, reduced weight and improved crossbar pull-out strength to simplify installation and cable management.
igus said that it will also showcase its broad range of iglide plain bearing materials, which are self-lubricating and maintenance-free, with material options engineered for requirements including high loads and temperatures, low friction, chemical resistance, food contact and harsh environments.
“Manufacturers are looking for ways to increase productivity while keeping automation investments practical and cost-effective,” said Felix Brockmeyer, CEO of igus, Inc. “At IMTS, we want to show that motion and automation do not have to be complicated. By combining our motion plastics expertise with affordable robotics and automation technologies, we can help manufacturers find solutions that improve their processes and make automation more accessible.”
Additionally, igus said it will showcase the drylin and drylin E portfolio and will demonstrate grease-free linear motion and motorized automation. The company said that the portfolio combines lightweight, dirt- and corrosion-resistant linear systems with motors and controls for ready-to-integrate, precise motion offerings.
