Dane Technologies introduced the Dane AiR DC Robot Freezer Package for cold chain.
Autonomous mobile robot (AMR) and power assist organization Dane Technologies announced at Manifest 2026 in Las Vegas that its Freezer Package for the Dane autonomous inventory robot (AiR) DC is now generally available.
The company said this capability enables the Dane AiR DC autonomous robot to operate in freezers down to -10 degrees Fahrenheit. Powered by BrainOS from Brain Corp., Dane Technologies said that the Dane AiR DC combines autonomous navigation, intelligent scanning and real-time analytics to automate inventory management for retailers and warehouses.
Dane Technologies said that the Dane AiR DC Freezer Package will revolutionize how 3PLs, retailers and manufacturers conduct inventory operations within their sub-zero freezers. Rather than requiring employees to wear heavy and cumbersome specialized gear to enter dangerous temperatures in spaces often exceeding 100,000 sq feet to scan, identify and count products, the company said its autonomous robots will perform these activities.
Dane Technologies said that this frees warehouse staff to improve productivity, focusing on more desirable tasks and improving staff overall comfort and safety.
The Dane AiR DC Freezer Package is currently available in the market and is being deployed with a major United States food distributor with over 80 locations across the country.
“Cold chain operations have long forced companies to choose between efficiency, safety, and accuracy,” said Dan Johnson, CEO of Dane Technologies. “Operating freezers at scale requires reliable systems, minimizing time spent by people in sub-zero environments. Our autonomous robots perform critical inventory tasks, enabling customers to gain consistent, actionable visibility while reducing risk.”
