Roboteon said its Robotics Fulfillment and Orchestration Platform received Microsoft Commercial Marketplace approval, and comes with pre-built Dynamics 365 integration.

Intelligent warehouse software platform provider Roboteon has announced that it has achieved Microsoft Commercial Marketplace certification for its Robotics Fulfillment and Orchestration Platform.

Roboteon also said that the platform is now available on Microsoft Marketplace.

Warehouse automation for D365 customers

The company said its Fulfillment and Orchestration platform provides a variety of benefits to Microsoft D365 customers, from easier, more rapid integrations with mobile robots in distribution and manufacturing, to improved productivity and throughput.

Roboteon said that the continued labor shortage in distribution facilities, along with rising fulfillment costs, continues to drive adoption of robots and other warehouse automation. But, Roboteon said that many companies struggle with integration issues and optimizing performance, among other challenges.

With the Roboteon platform, the company said that Microsoft Dynamics 365 users can move forward with warehouse robotics projects with confidence, utilizing Roboteon’s robotics platform, which now provides a pre-built connector for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Warehouse Management APIs.

“The Roboteon platform empowers Microsoft Dynamics 365 users to achieve success with current and future robotics initiatives in both distribution and manufacturing,” said Raj Senguttuvan, SVP of product at Roboteon.

The Roboteon platform provides a middleware that connects warehouse robots with Microsoft D365, and then manages, orchestrates and optimizes fulfillment processes in distribution and automated materials movement in manufacturing.

Roboteon said the benefits to D365 users include the following:

  • Faster deployments and time-to-value from the adoption of robots and automation
  • A single, unified platform for managing different types and vendors of automation systems
  • Complete flexibility in deploying new types of robots and automation over time, avoiding “vendor lock-in”
  • The ability to easily scale from proof-of-concept to deployment of dozens or even hundreds of robots

Roboteon said these results are delivered from a wide range of features and capabilities in the platform, including:

  • A microservices-based architecture, providing high levels of flexibility
  • Rapid integrations of robots and other systems
  • A broad portfolio of configurable, pre-built workflows, including piece, case and pallet picking
  • Cross-functional and cross-vendor process orchestration
  • Synchronization of human and robotic resources
  • Broad use of AI/ML for optimization
  • Advanced simulation across multiple time horizons, from system design to a real-time digital twin

The Roboteon platform also provides differentiated capabilities for both greenfield and existing brownfield sites, including expertise in integrating with any existing automation.
