Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) are showcasing MiR MC600, a powerful new mobile cobot that combines the reliable "legs" of the MiR600 with the heavy-payload "arms" of Universal Robots’ UR20/UR30 cobots. The MC600 is specifically engineered to handle heavier items, boasting a maximum payload capacity of 600 kg (1322 lbs). UR MiR said that the MC600 automates complex workflows by excelling at diverse and demanding industrial applications. It tackles tasks such as palletizing, intricate box handling and dedicated machine tending in a single, mobile unit. The enhanced reach provided by the UR20 arm enables the MC600 to manage operations in areas previously inaccessible to smaller cobots, significantly enhancing productivity across the board.
