Kristen Shannon, founder of COO consultancy Highliner Technology, has been appointed COO of Dexory, which also opened its North American headquarters in Nashville, Tenn.
U.K.-based logistics robotics and data intelligence company Dexory recently announced the opening of its North American headquarters in Nashville, Tenn.
Dexory’s first U.S. deployment was with DB Schenker, and the company recently announced a deployment for JAMCO GROUP. These deployments follow the company's entry to the North American market in early 2024, which was announced at Manifest.
Dexory also announced that Kristen Shannon is joining its executive team to become Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. Shannon brings experience with scaling companies, building processes, and strategic plans for businesses such as Monzo, Cisco Meraki and Sonantic. She will work alongside co-founders Andrei Danescu and Adrian Negoita, CEO and CTO, respectively, along with Oana Jinga, CC&PO.
“Businesses across the globe are looking at extracting more insights from their warehousing operations and this is where Dexory can rapidly help businesses unlock actionable data insights from the warehouse that help boost efficiencies across the board,” said Danescu. “After entering the U.S. market, we’re excited to open new offices in Nashville and appoint Kristen to accelerate our scale, drive new levels of efficiency and reimagine supply chain operations.”
The Nashville base will serve as a hub for Dexory where it can showcase and rapidly deploy its robots to various locations across North America, have access to technical talent, and benefit from transportation links. The offices will also be home to part of Dexory’s support team, a base of operations for its growing sales team, as well as a customer innovation center.
Since the beginning of 2024, Dexorysaid it has experienced rapid growth of its team and its deployments in the market. Dexory said it completed further deployments in France, Netherlands, Germany, Middle East and the U.K. last month. These new customers will join companies including FLX Logistics, Iron Mountain, ID Logistics, Maersk and iB Cargo that are already capturing real-time data daily from their warehouses.
In addition to the new customer acquisitions, Dexory has also been recognised as a Cool Vendor in the 2024 Gartner Cool Vendors in Logistics and Robotics Technology report.
Shannon joins Dexory from a career of operational and strategic executive experience. She is an experienced COO, having held roles with organizations such as General Systems, a geospatial database company focused on large volume sensor data, where she streamlined the company’s operations and commercialized deep learning technology products for market adoption.
Most recently, Shannon founded Highliner Technology, a consultancy of senior COOs, to serve scaling businesses with global expansion plans. In her role as a consultant she advised companies such as:
Dexory said Shannon’s experience advising CEOs, founders, and senior executives makes her an invaluable asset to the company. Her key responsibilities will include scaling the company globally, with a specific focus on the U.S. market. Originally from Boston, Mass., Shannon will be based at Dexory’s main headquarters in the United Kingdom.
“Businesses are looking at new ways of doing things and Dexory is well placed in the market through its product offering, innovations, and vision,” Shannon said. “I am delighted to have been entrusted with the responsibility to scale the company and in the months ahead we will continue to build business processes to ensure that Dexory becomes the go-to solution for warehouses using autonomous tools.”
