Industrial automation systems provider Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc., recently announced a new partnership with Motlow State College. The institution spans multiples campuses across Lynchburg, McMinnville, Fayetteville and Smyrna, Tenn.
Through this partnership, Motlow State College became an Authorized Certified Training Center, bringing select Mitsubishi Electric Automation education and training classes to industries in the region.
“Partnering with Motlow State College enables us to better serve our customers in Tennessee and the surrounding area by providing convenient, high-quality training that builds technical skills critical for today’s workforce,” said Tom Majewski, Mitsubishi Electric Automation workforce development manager. “We’re excited to support industry growth and skill development through this collaboration with Motlow State.”
With this certification, Motlow State College will deliver training classes tailored to local industry needs, including the GX Works3 Programming course. This class provides hands-on instruction for programming Mitsubishi Electric programmable logic controllers (PLCs) using GX Works3 software.
The Certified Training Center at Motlow State College offers a streamlined path for Mitsubishi Electric robot end users to access expert instruction that can help their workforce develop proficiency in the company’s systems. Local businesses can now take advantage of these employee training opportunities within a shorter travel distance.
Classes will be hosted at the Motlow State Automation & Robotics Training Center (ARTC) in McMinnville, Tenn., at 225 Vo-Tech Drive. This training facility features nationally-recognized industry trainers for the most common robot and factory automation manufacturers. Motlow State’s ARTC said it is pleased to announce Mitsubishi Electric Automation as the latest addition to its industrial training portfolio.
