Sebert Landscape today announced that it is one of the first landscaping companies in the U.S. to add RC Mowers' Autonomous Mowing Robots to its fleet of lawncare equipment. The full-service commercial landscape contractor serves Chicagoland and Southeastern Wisconsin.

“I’m so proud to be one of the first companies to deploy this new technology,” said Jeff Sebert, founder and CEO of Sebert Landscape, in a release. “Our business model has always seen to it that we remain on the cutting edge of sustainability, innovation, and green technology.”

Established in 1985 out of a local garage and small office, Sebert Landscape called its approach to finding landscaping systems that benefit both customers and the environment “the new green.” The Bartlett, Ill.-based company said it has grown into the fifth-largest full-service commercial landscape company in the Midwest, with more than 600 employees and seven regional branch offices.

RC Mowers now delivering AMRs

Mowing services, traditionally a landscaping company's primary revenue source, often yield minimal profits, noted RC Mowers. The Green Bay, Wis.-based company said its remotely operated Autonomous Mowing Robots (AMRs) can address this challenge and increase overall operational efficiency.

RC Mowers said its team includes developers with experience from the military, aviation, and robotics industries. They designed the company's robotic mowers to be attractive alternatives for landscapers looking for new technology to improve their customer service.

“Since our establishment in 2018, it has been our ambition to introduce this revolutionary product to our customers, and we are thrilled to deliver on that promise,” stated Michael Brandt, CEO of RC Mowers. “As part of our AMR customer experience, we conduct comprehensive training and certification programs for the customer's management and mowing staff to ensure safe and efficient operation of the Autonomous Mowing Robots.”

Brandt claimed that one operator can generate the same revenue as a crew of three, reducing reliance on labor while enhancing profitability. RC Mowers announced its AMRs last year and began delivering them through its dealer network in the U.S., Canada, and Australia last month.

Sebert Landscape invests in sustainability

Sebert said his company's adoption of the AMRs showcases its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and client satisfaction. Sebert Landscape plans to deploy RC Mowers' systems to a select group of clients who will be informed on what to expect from the self-driving mowers.

“This self-driving mower will fit right in with our goal of taking a lean operational approach to landscaping,” said Sebert. “We want to make the most of every budget while still providing the best service for our customers using the most up-to-date technology.”

“We believe that landscaping companies that are early adopters of autonomous technology will have a competitive advantage over those who are struggling to hire enough workers,” he added. “The companies who embrace autonomy will be able to grow and scale their businesses while allowing their best talent to do the high-value work they prefer.”

RC Mowers said all of its systems are designed and manufactured in the U.S., have a 30-day buy-back guarantee, and come with a 72-hour parts shipping guarantee.

RC Mowers recently introduced the R Series, its newly updated and enhanced Remote-Operated Robotic Mower line.
