THiRA Robotics to Announce New AMR Models at ProMat 2023

THiRA Robotics is expanding into the U.S. and is hoping to make a splash at ProMat.

THiRA Robotics, a Korean autonomous mobile robot developer and a subsidiary of smart factory solutions leader THiRA Utech, will make its U.S. debut at ProMat 2023 next week in Chicago. At the show, the company said it will announce five AMR models and have a demo of a robot operating on an uneven and sloped floor.

The Seoul, South Korea-based company said its automated systems are designed for the healthcare, manufacturing, and supply chain industries. Its partners include Doosan Robotics, Hyundai Transys, and Mando.

"Some plants with poor conditions struggle to integrate AMR successfully. Now, older manufacturers don't need to remodel to integrate. With THIRA ROBOTICS, robotization is possible for facilities not fit for automation," said Peter Kim, CEO of THIRA ROBOTICS.

"Our next-generation technology improves existing solutions by offering real-life-ready logistics AMRs to handle imperfect floors and high traffic for U.S. industries to solve labor shortages and other market gaps," Kim said.

Unlike current AMR market offerings, THiRA robotics said its AMRs can operate on damaged floors, changing surroundings, high traffic, liquid spills, slopes, narrow spaces, and elevators, the company said.

THiRA Robotics said South Korea’s investment in automation has helped make it an established AMR maker.

"At the National Cancer Center, the #1 clinical research center in Korea, our AMRs augmented hospital staff and piloted 24/7 patient and nurse-assistance services. We streamlined factory processes for cosmetics conglomerate AmorePacific, where split warehousing and manufacturing facilities with complex traffic and high order volume slowed production," Kim said.

THiRA Robotics will be at booth #N6054.
