According to the IFR, Japan is the biggest manufacturer of industrial robots, deploying 45% of the global supply. The Japan Robot Association was created in March 1971.
The association conducts research and lobbies for government policies. It has more than 50 association members, including ABB, FANUC, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Panasonic, all of which have U.S. divisions.
