Delivery robots hit more college campuses

Delivery robots continued to be deployed in more college campuses this year. In February, after closing on its pre-Series A round, Kiwibot announced it had entered an expanded contract with food service company Sodexo.

As part of the deal, Kiwibot at the time said it would expand to 50 college campuses around the country. Robotics 24/7 wrote about Kiwibot landing at Framingham State University this fall.

Starship Technologies also expanded its partnerships with colleges as part of a deal it made with food delivery service company Grubhub in October.

The company currently offers deliveries at t the University of Kentucky, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), Wayne State University, Southern Methodist University, and Fairfield University as part of its deal with Grubhub. Starship said it will soon expand to other campuses, but did not specify which ones.
