With 44% to 47% of the global collaborative robot market share, Universal Robots was a no brainer to add to this list. The Odense, Denmark-based company invented the cobot category back in 2005 and has since sold more than 50,000 cobots.
Earlier this week, the company unveiled the UR20, a cobot that features a new design and carry payloads of 20 kg (44 lb.).
In January, Universal Robots reported that it had collected $311 million in 2021. For Q1, 2022, the company recorded revenues of $85 million.
